About
Sue Hutchings has lived in Dorset all her life and continues to draw inspiration from her local surroundings. After discovering from an early age that she had a passion for painting, Sue went on to gain a Higher National Diploma in Natural History Illustration at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design, and then began animal portraiture.
Since then Sue has continued to exhibit locally, expressing her love of organic forms and landscapes through many mediums, including fabric, watercolours, acrylics and now also photography.
Her latest projects have been inspired by landscapes throughout the seasons, of which autumn holds great intrigue, and also from a fascination with ageing metallic forms and textures.
